The African Farmers’ Association of South Africa (AFASA) will host its highly anticipated Leadership and Strategic Partnership Conference under the theme “Working Together to Achieve Agricultural Prosperity.” The event will convene key stakeholders, policymakers, providers of services and farmer representatives to accelerate inclusive growth and transformation in South Africa’s agricultural sector.

The conference will feature a keynote address by Hon. Minister of Agriculture, Mr John Steenhuisen, and contributions from leading voices, including Mr Wandile Sihlobo, DG Mr M. Ramasodi, and AFASA President Mr AJ Mthembu. A dynamic panel, including Landbank, National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC), Agricultural Research Council (ARC), Agri Seta, Red Meat Information Services (RMIS), and Grain SA, will explore strategies to strengthen collaboration among all stakeholders, improve production output, and expand market access for developing farmers.

“This conference is a call to action,” said AFASA President Mr A.J. Mthembu, “We are bringing together the public and private sectors to forge lasting partnerships and collaboration that empowers farmers and promotes sustainable agricultural development.” The event will culminate in a closed session by AFASA leadership to consolidate commitments and chart a strategic path forward.
